Irvine Co. Enters Del Mar Heights Office Market with Two-Building Purchase | San Diego Business Journal

Irvine Co. of Newport Beach has acquired the two-building Township 14 office property in Del Mar Heights, marking its first acquisition in that submarket of San Diego’s Carmel Valley.

Irvine Co., the San Diego region’s largest office property owner, did not immediately disclose the purchase price. The buildings, totaling 127,000 square feet at 12670 and 12680 High Bluff Drive, were acquired from an affiliate of Nuveen, the investment management arm of New York-based TIAA-CREF, which purchased them in 2011 for $29.5 million, according to CoStar Group data.

Casey Brown Company Acquires San Diego Office Properties for $77 Million

San Diego-based Casey Brown Company, the firm that paid $52 million in 2015 for property belonging to the San Diego Union-Tribune in Mission Valley, has acquired three office properties in central San Diego for $77 million. The properties are located in Kearny Mesa, Mission Valley and Old Town and total 328,943 square feet.
